Register your school or community group now to take part in one of Frisco’s favorite traditions.  The annual Frisco Community Parade is a chance for families to come out and celebrate Veterans Day weekend, listen to high school marching bands and wave at the local football heroes, homecoming kings and queens, girl scout and boy scout troops to name a few of the participating groups. This year’s event is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Main Street on Saturday, November 14.

The parade serves as an opportunity to honor U.S. military members, past and present, as a part of the Veteran’s Day weekend.  The parade is also a wonderful way to promote the ’small town’ feel so important to the image of our city. A big part of that tradition are the floats created by many of our student and citizen groups.

Parade registration fees are $150 for non-profit and youth organizations and $200 for business and other professional organizations. Persons may register online. Click on ‘Parade Registration’ in the column to the left of this article or in person at the FISD communication’s office at 6942 Maple St.  THE SECTION FOR BIO INFORMATION MUST BE FILLED IN ON THE PARADE REGISTRATION FORM TO BE ACCEPTED.
This is the space where you give the complete name of your group, describe what kind of gorup you are. You should also list other interesting facts: how long ago your group was founded, awards your group has won, how many members you have and any fun facts you would like to include.  The information must be at least three sentences in length, or include at least three facts about your group. You are welcome to add more.  The minimum requirement is set so that the emcee has something to say about your parade entryl

The parade route goes down Main Street from Pizza Hut Park (PHP) to Downtown Frisco. All parade entries should arrive at PHP by no later than 9 a.m. to line up for the parade.
